The deadline for new GHS Training is approaching fast!

With the adoption of the Global Harmonized System (GHS) in the United States, OSHA requires employers to present information in a manner and language that their employees can understand.

      So… What is GHS Training?

Exposure and handling of hazardous chemicals is one of the most crucial risk and threats that a worker has to face at work. Hence, OSHA's Hazard Communication standards were improved so that the consistency and quality of hazard information is made more severe and safer so that the workers can do their jobs easily and stay competitive.

If you deal with any hazardous chemicals at your factory or workplace, you are needed to abide by the OSHA new standard!

      What Does GHS Training Cover?

      • Changes to the GHS rules
      • OSHA Standards on GHS
      • Hazard Classification
      • Health Hazards and Physical Hazards
      • Safety Data Sheets (SDS) – standardized, mandated, 16 section complete and detailed format
      • Chemical labels training including signal word, product identifier, hazard statements, precautionary statements

It is to be noted that the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) is now regulated and aligned with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).

This will render a coherent and common approach to categorize chemicals by providing accurate hazard information on safety and labels data sheets.

GHS Training is extremely crucial and for more information, rely on the experts! Transportation Compliance Associates, Inc. offers a wide range of options to getting your employees trained by the December 1st GHS Training Deadline.  Call us today toll free: 855.637.9566 and contact us for group pricing or more information about how we can help.
